What Will You Do When E-mail is Dead?

Posted by admin on November 20, 2007 in Marketing

Over the years, I’ve invested a large amount of time learning about and testing ideas
on everything from selling information on the Internet to figuring out some pretty
complex technology, usually living on the cutting edge.

This have given me many advantages over the years because I’ve been able to spot
trends often years before they become mainstream. And, honestly, I love being in that
position.

Let me give you an example of what I’m talking about. I’ve seen the decline in e-mail
effectiveness starting back in 2003. While most in our circle are now waking up to
the fact that the e-mail system is broken, for lack of a better word, I’ve been
actively pursuing solutions.

I know that in the coming year, there will be many on our community who will be out
of business because they rely almost exclusively on e-mail and have no experience
with any other marketing channel.

I sure hope you can see this trend too, as it has become very visible. And I hope
that like so many in our community you are preparing yourself to use other marketing
channels to reach your prospects.

Let me give you a few ideas right here.

1) Direct Mail Marketing

2)Pay-Per-Click Advertising (text and banner)

3) Radio

The trend you’re going to see happening now is that more and more direct mail will be
used for marketing. Watch your mailbox. And if you’re still not sure where to begin
with direct mail, you may want to get a copy of Direct Mail Marketing Secrets. For
less than $20, it’s a great investment in your marketing education.

One final thought for you this week is this. If you’re taking a break for
Thanksgiving, remember this is the perfect time to thank YOU. I thank you for being
part of my extended family, but you should thank yourself too for constantly pushing
for more.

It’s far too easy to give up, too easy to let it all pass you by, but you’re here
today doing what you do because you know that the true rewards come to those who stay
in the game.

So thank you for staying in the game and becoming a shining example for others.

All my best to you and your family for a Thanksgiving filled with laughter and joy.

Be outstanding!
