If you look around, or watch the news, or read a newspaper, or talk to a friend, it’s very likely that the conversation is going to turn to politics, the economy, and how much
harder it’s going to be to live in this country in years to come.

Honestly, nothing I’ve read about or seen out there is all that positive.

Yet, you and I both know that letting all of this get you down is NOT the way to live life on your terms.

In fact, the more fear you have about your future, the less powerful you feel and the less action you’ll take towards getting what you want out of life.

I’ve seen this trend in my own life, close-up, and I know what happens next. I promise you, it’s not pretty.

But, having gone down that road once in my life allowed me to learn a few lessons the hard way that I now share with my clients to help them avoid making the kinds of mistakes I
made.

I’ve given you a clue to the first one: don’t let what’s going on “out there” affect how you feel about your own life
and what you’re capable of creating in the days and weeks to come.

Take my word on this one, if you feel weak and hopeless in the face of all the “change” that’s happening now, you will be in that group of people who will suffer the most.

On the other hand, if you’re the type to be pro-active, and you realize that how you feel is more important than anything else, you’ll not only survive, you’re going to end up on top of the heap with pockets full of success!

I know this very well because at 45 years of age, I have been there myself and have played it both ways. Trust me when I say that taking care of YOU is the most important thing you can do right now.

You may think about what you’re looking forward to, what you’d like to buy for yourself, where you’d like to travel in the next 6 months, and how you’d like to feel each and
every day.

Fill your mind with these kinds of thoughts instead of the”gloom and doom” you’re seeing and hearing wherever you turn, and you’ll be taking the first powerful step towards
reclaiming your own power.

I’ve been doing this for myself over the past month, and it’s already made a difference in many areas of my life. Like so many, I got caught up in the politics, and found myself in far too many discussions about the economy and what “might” happen “if” and it’s not been helpful.

What has helped me and so many of my coaching clients is to find new things to get excited about. I’ve got so many new friends on Facebook, and tons of followers on Twitter. I’ve
got hundreds of people listening to my radio broadcasts, and reading my e-books, and now I’m taking steps to reach even more people.

What’s happening is truly incredible! What’s to come will be even more impressive, I’m sure!

My message to you today is simple. get out of any emotional rut you may find yourself in. Build a powerful vision for your future, and start moving in the direction YOU want to
move into.

Don’t worry about what “might” happen “out there” and with”those in power.” All of that can and will change on a daily basis, and it’s not worth giving it your attention.
