The One Thing You Must Accomplish in Order to Become Wealthy

You want to be wealthy, I understand that because it’s something most people want.

You want to be free to do as you choose, to go where you want, to spend your days as you wish, but you’re really not sure where to begin.

What should you study?

What should you invest in?

What business should you start?

There are many questions, and really only one answer worth considering to all of your questions.

The definition of being “financially free” is one you should spend a great deal of time thinking about. It’s actually simple to understand, and somewhat harder to put into action.

You reach the level of financial freedom the moment you are passively generating (not earning) more income each month then you are spending to cover all of your bills.

Simple enough to understand, right?

But how do you make this happen? What would you need to do in order to generate income that you are NOT investing your own time to earn?

In other words, you want to have money coming into your bank account each and every month but what you don’t want is to have to invest much, if any, of your time to earn that money.

Let me give you a few examples of some things that create these kinds of situations.

You could write a book and each time a copy of your book is sold, you earn a dollar or more. Maybe you record an album and each time your album sells, you make a dollar or so.

Maybe you invent something new and license the rights to use your invention to a company that pays you a royalty for each and every time your invention is used in a product or sold.

Now you may not be willing to write a book, record an album, or even invent something, so are you left out? No.

You could buy some real estate and earn money each month by renting your property to a tenant. Many people do this, some very successfully, but it’s not for everybody.

Maybe you decide to learn about investing in the stock market. If your investment go up in value, you increase your wealth. And when the market tumbles, so too does your wealth.

While these all sound nice, they are not foolproof, and certainly not for everybody.

Personally, I prefer to find ways to generate recurring income that are less risky, require less hours to learn, and that can set you free within just a few months instead of years. The only place that I am aware of that will allow you to do this is the Internet.

In fact, with just a very short learning period, just about anybody can become skilled creating systems that result in recurring monthly income that does not require much, if any, of your own money, is extremely low risk, and above all else, is reliable.

You’ll never see this day the same way again!

You might have guessed that I don’t see “President’s Day” as the rest of the country does. To me, the real heroes will always be the presidents of companies. Yes, even a 1-person operation is worth celebrating today.

Throughout time, it has been the business owner who has created the jobs, taken the risks, invented the technology, and generally helped to move society forward in so many areas.

It’s the people who dare to step into the role of company President who are the heroes that I celebrate today.

I’ve always been impressed by these people. I’ve always aspired to be one. And I’ve spent the bulk of my career encouraging people to step up and become the President of their own organizations.

For those who are not in business, you are still, and will always be, the President of your own life. You’re the person who decides what’s right, what’s important, and where you want to go. That takes guts and if you’re in this role (as we all are) you set the course, you make to rules, and you get to live with the results – good or bad.

So today, as you think about President’s Day, think about the people who are, just like you, embracing their roles as President of their business, or as President of their lives.

Take a moment and ponder this. If you were truly the person who was making all the rules, the person in charge of your life, the President of it all, what would you do differently than you’re doing today?

Would you be putting up with the things you’ve been putting up with in your life that you don’t enjoy?

Would you be looking for new and better ways to live your life?

Would you have plans in place to build an even more successful business?

Go ahead and give yourself the promotion you truly deserve. Go ahead and sit at the helm of your life and take back the control that’s truly yours.

Go ahead and assume the position of being the President of everything in your life and stop giving away your power.

Celebrate today, not for those people who have served as heads of state, but the real heroes, those that served and continue to serve as the leaders of the companies that make our world work.

There is something you can give yourself now that doesn’t come in box, a bag, or wrapped up with bow, that you’ll love more than anything else you get this Christmas

You may be excited today because you’re going to both giving and receiving gifts for those you love most, but did you know that there is a gift that you can give yourself that will last a lifetime and that will give you great joy for all the years of your life?

It was back in 1994, Christmas Day to be exact that I gave myself this gift. Back then I was not making much progress in my career. In fact, I had just recently left a full time job with a great salary and benefits to go out on my own.

With only moderate success to show for my efforts, I knew I needed something more than I had access to at that moment. Although I can’t remember where I first heard or saw it, but the message I got, clearly, was that the best gift you could ever give yourself is the gift of knowledge.

Up until that point in my life, I wasn’t picking up and reading many books. I wasn’t listening to many tapes, and I had never been to a seminar. I did read a magazine here and there, but I really wasn’t growing my knowledge in ways that would make a difference.

That changed for me on Christmas Day in 1994 when I sat there looking at the gifts I’d received that Christmas and thought “how long will I really remember any of these gifts?” That day, I decided to get more serious about acquiring more knowledge.

I’ve never stopped learning. I’ve never stopped growing, and I have absolutely no intentions of stopping from today until the day I stop breathing. Jim Rohn has said many times that the best investment you can make is the investment you make in yourself.

The great truth in that statement is that what you learn today can never be taken away from you and once you learn something you can use that knowledge for the rest of your life.

I would guess that since that day in 1994, I’ve probably given myself several hundred thousand dollars worth of education in the form of books, seminars, coaching, web casts, tapes, and CDs. Today I’m seen by many as being a “Master Coach” because of my vast knowledge base from which I can tap into to help my clients.

This affords me the ability to charge decent amounts for my time in exchange for being able to deliver just what a client needs the moment they need it. In many respects, I’ve become a valuable resource to my clients because of the decision I made on Christmas Day 1994.

You may want to make a new decision for yourself too this Christmas Day. Decide to give yourself the gift that will keep on giving for as long as you live. It’s the gift that can never be taken from you and it’s the gift that will change everything.

All you have to do now is decide that you want to become more than you are today. Make the decision now and then take one small step in that direction. Maybe you’ll enroll in a seminar, or maybe you’ll order a book, or an audio CD today. Whatever it is, do it for yourself now.

This Christmas can be much more memorable for you if you do, and it could well turn out to be the Christmas that changes everything.

So pet peeve number one for me is that so many in our business try to sell you on the idea that all you need is a new gizmo, a bigger web site, or a smarter marketing plan and you’ll get what you want. Really?

How has that worked out for those who spend hundreds of millions of dollars each year on such programs, products, tools, and strategies?

When you look around, the people who DO get rich use those tools, but the part you never hear about is that the tools are the SMALLEST part of the whole process! Why doesn’t anybody (aside from me) tell you this?

Why do they keep pitching you more and more tools and never let you in on the biggest secret in our industry that the tools alone will get you NOTHING in return if you don’t have the vision and the passion to make them do their magic?

Pet peeve number two for me is watching the many people in my network putter around with so many tools and never see a dime from any of their investment of time and money.

I wish I could get to these folks first and let them in on the world’s biggest scam, but alas, I’m the one they call after they’ve tried everything and found none of it to work for them!

My vision for you is rather simple. I will help you uncover the one thing that will work for you, then, and only then, will I tell you which tools and marketing strategies you need to pull it off and live prosperously from this point forward.

Yes, I know things look really bleak when you listen to the news. I know corruption is at an all-time high, and I know tempers are
running much higher than at any time in my memory.

So why am I excited?

Think about this for a moment.

When you want to change something, say changing water into steam, the temperature of the water has to rise. It will rise the most
violently just before it makes its transition into steam.

What’s happening in our world today is that the temperature is rising and we’re rapidly approaching a point in time when things will change in dramatic and incredible ways.

I believe our world will be a very different place, our country one we may no longer recognize, and you and I will also undergo some profound changes in the way in which we view and live our lives.

Between now and that time, things will have a tendency to look and feel a little rocky at times. Try to keep your eyes focused on what’s coming. Think about how you want your life to be, and what you’re no longer willing to settle for.

Perhaps you’ll come to same conclusions I have in seeing all this turmoil, corruption, dishonesty, and anger as the sign that things are about to shift in a profound way taking our world to a new level – one in which it has never gone to at any time in history.

Don’t make the mistake of sitting around though, and waiting until the changes happen. Now is a great time to consider what you’re
doing and make changes so that when things turn around you’ll be a a new and better position to make the most of what’s coming.

I’ve been coaching so many of my clients this past month on just this topic. The interesting thing is that the signs are everywhere that big change is on the way, and that as things heat up, it’s just one more sign that we’re getting closer to reaching a new level.

Remember too, that it’s always darkest before the dawn. Things always seem to the most difficult just before they calm down.

This is where we are, and if you’ll join me in looking forward, you too will see that things are not at all as bad as they are being portrayed in the media.

There are people right now who are making massive changes in their lives, finding happiness, and putting the first solid bricks into their foundation of success.

Right now, I too am working hard at re-designing my business, what I offer, the messages that I share, and who I market to. It’s a big change that’s actually been in the works for some time and one that has just now begun to be revealed to the world.

I will be sharing more and more about the changes I’m going through and why I’m so darned excited about the future in upcoming e-mail messages.

Do you have a better plan to follow this week than you did last week?

Are you putting things in place right now that promise to help make your life better?

Most people I meet simply never think about the week ahead. They have dreams, but rarely do they have a plan.

They have hope, but they don’t have clue how to turn hope into reality.

So week after week goes by and soon weeks turn into months.  Months turn into years, and soon you can look back over decades and see that honestly, not much has changed.

The dreams may still be there, but they may be dimmer and farther away.

The hope has all but faded and is replaced by quiet desperation. This is not the rare exception, but rather the general way most people’s lives go. It doesn’t sound like a whole lot of fun,

True enough, there are better ways to live your life and to make your dreams a reality in the present moment.

If that’s true then why do so many people settle for a life that’s almost not worth living?

There are many reasons, but the biggest one is that you and I were really never taught how to make our dreams come true.

We were taught how to be loyal employees and how to live on a budget, but nobody taught us how to thrive.

In fact, not only were we not taught how to thrive, if we did happen to stumble upon some of this knowledge, it was quickly discouraged, ridiculed, and you’d be made fun of for even
thinking about it at all!

So here we stay, doing the same things week after week, not daring to seek out new knowledge or try new ways to make our lives better.

Honestly, it’s very sad. But at the same time, this has become my passion: to help you find new ways to making your life the way you really want it to be.

I will help you easily ignore the comments from the “peanut gallery” and go in the direction of your dreams. And, I will help you get on the right track fast.

Honestly, nothing I’ve read about or seen out there is all that positive.

Yet, you and I both know that letting all of this get you down is NOT the way to live life on your terms.

In fact, the more fear you have about your future, the less powerful you feel and the less action you’ll take towards getting what you want out of life.

I’ve seen this trend in my own life, close-up, and I know what happens next. I promise you, it’s not pretty.

But, having gone down that road once in my life allowed me to learn a few lessons the hard way that I now share with my clients to help them avoid making the kinds of mistakes I
made.

I’ve given you a clue to the first one: don’t let what’s going on “out there” affect how you feel about your own life
and what you’re capable of creating in the days and weeks to come.

Take my word on this one, if you feel weak and hopeless in the face of all the “change” that’s happening now, you will be in that group of people who will suffer the most.

On the other hand, if you’re the type to be pro-active, and you realize that how you feel is more important than anything else, you’ll not only survive, you’re going to end up on top of the heap with pockets full of success!

I know this very well because at 45 years of age, I have been there myself and have played it both ways. Trust me when I say that taking care of YOU is the most important thing you can do right now.

You may think about what you’re looking forward to, what you’d like to buy for yourself, where you’d like to travel in the next 6 months, and how you’d like to feel each and
every day.

Fill your mind with these kinds of thoughts instead of the”gloom and doom” you’re seeing and hearing wherever you turn, and you’ll be taking the first powerful step towards
reclaiming your own power.

I’ve been doing this for myself over the past month, and it’s already made a difference in many areas of my life. Like so many, I got caught up in the politics, and found myself in far too many discussions about the economy and what “might” happen “if” and it’s not been helpful.

What has helped me and so many of my coaching clients is to find new things to get excited about. I’ve got so many new friends on Facebook, and tons of followers on Twitter. I’ve
got hundreds of people listening to my radio broadcasts, and reading my e-books, and now I’m taking steps to reach even more people.

What’s happening is truly incredible! What’s to come will be even more impressive, I’m sure!

My message to you today is simple. get out of any emotional rut you may find yourself in. Build a powerful vision for your future, and start moving in the direction YOU want to
move into.

Don’t worry about what “might” happen “out there” and with”those in power.” All of that can and will change on a daily basis, and it’s not worth giving it your attention.
