It’s Rough Out There

Here’s Something You Can Do to Make it Better for Yourself

I won’t try to paint a rosy picture and tell you that everything is going just great. You know better. If you’ve been looking at the news, you already know things are getting rough for everybody and the future looks grim.

I’ve been hearing it from my clients.

I’ve been seeing it with businesses that I buy from, and I’ve been looking long and hard for the silver lining that I know is out there.

As I see it, you and I have two main choices in how we can deal with what’s going on.

Option 1) We can bury our heads in the sand and wait for things to get better. Many people will choose this option as they see it Read more…

Show me the money!

What You’re Seeking is Out There… and Terri Levine’s Last Ever Business Seminar?

Money. It’s the topic on almost everybody’s mind, and more often today than at any other time in recent memory. But is it really harder to make it today than it was just a few years ago?

The answer depends upon your mind set.

If you are the type that buys into what you hear on the news, chances are you may be feeling the pinch and seeing signs everywhere you look that there is less money to be found out there.

If on the other hand, you are the type that sees how much money is flowing on a daily basis all around you, you may have a different opinion.

Honestly, I’ve played this mind game both ways. I’ve been there before in the late 1980′s when I was booted to the curb from a nice cushy job because of “budget cuts.” I got depressed and saw  no way out of my situation.

That lasted about 5 months and 4 weeks, literally until the very last unemployment check was to arrive. That week changed many things for me, and I found, not just one, but four jobs in just 24 hours!

So after nearly 6 months of not even a nibble, sending out hundreds of resumes, a simple shift in mind set produced four job offers in just 24 hours.

What would you say?

What Would You Do?

It’s 2am.

The phone rings.

At first you ignore it and hope it stops. It rings again, and again, and again. Finally, you stumble out of bed and search for the handset.

On the phone is somebody you care a lot about. A parent, sibling, your significant other. Something horrible has just happened to them.

What do you say to them?

What should you never say?

Do you even know what you would say in such a crisis situation?

Give Up or Keep Going; The Decision That Defines You

March 4th, 2010 Robert Imbriale No comments

It was 1995 and I was struggling to get my business off the  ground. I was excited, spinning my wheels, yet getting nowhere  fast. Money was coming in, but more of it was going out than was  coming in.

Before very long, I found myself questioning whether or not to  close my business and give up on my lifelong dreams.

When you arrive at a point like this, there are two choices you  can make. First, you can choose to throw in the towel and walk  away. Many people take this route and in later years begin to  regret their  decision.

The other option is to keep going and find new ways to get  through the rough times. While you may wonder if there’s a third  choice of doing nothing, that’s really not making a choice at all  and it’s almost the same as giving up because if you do nothing,  you’ll soon have nothing.

So there really is only one choice and that’s to keep going.

Have it your way

Will 2010 be THE Year for You?

Or will it be just another year of the same old, same old?

When December 31st rolls around each year, we tend to get real excited about what the next year will bring. By about this time each year, we’re pretty much back to doing the same
things we’ve always done and we’re back to getting the same old results too.

This is a great time to take a moment to think about making a few small changes that can lead you to having a fabulous year instead of getting more of the same.

This past weekend, I attended a seminar in Los Angeles hosted by Terri Levine. I came away with 238 notes in just a 2-day event.

My point here is that you’ve got to look for places, people, and things that inspire you. I get inspired being around people who want to get more out of life. So I do attend and host seminars. I get inspired by reading books, listening to audio programs, and by watching motivational video presentations.

Life has a way of taking the wind out of our sail. It has a way to bring us down and often times all it takes is a phone call.

If you let it, life will rob you of your motivation, your energy, and your passion. These are the ingredients of success and in my world, I do everything I can to hang onto these things. What about you?

Are you fighting to stay on top of it all? Do you feel knocked down and dragged out at the end of the day? Are you wondering if things will ever get better?

You’re not alone, but being part of the crowd is not the best place to be. A better choice would be to find ways that will lead you to places the crowds will never go. You want to feel things the crowd will never feel. And you want to do things the crowd would never dream of doing.

When you do, you’ll begin to experience real freedom.

But most people will argue that they simply can’t even begin to imagine this because, hey did you hear what they said on the news tonight?

If you wait for all things to be lined up before you decide to take a step forward, you will miss out on the best parts of life before you finally figure out that you can have it all, you can have now, and you’ve already got what it takes to make it happen.

Which way do you want to play it?

Who’s Going to Make it Big in 2010?

January 5th, 2010 Robert Imbriale No comments

Why not YOU?

You want to get the New Year off on the right foot. You want this year to look nothing at all like years past, and you want, more than anything a healthier bank balance.

It’s what most people want every New Year, but do you have a plan? Do you have an idea of how to get these things?

If you’re operating this coming year doing the exact same thing you did last year and the year before that, I promise you, not much is going to change.

In fact, you’ll likely do WORSE this year than in any year in the past if you don’t do something right now to change your approach!

Success Begins in the… SHOWER!

Celebrate the New Year in Style!

Welcome to 2010, the start of a fresh new year, and a new decade!

Every year at this time, I get tons of e-mail messages from people who are eager to tell me about their resolutions for the next year. While I am indeed impressed at what people plan on doing, what really does it for me is to see the RESULTS of what had been planned.

So as you look back over the past year, what did you accomplish? What goal did you set for yourself that you hit, and even exceeded? Or do you even remember the goals you set for yourself?

Like so many people out there, I too set goals for myself at this time of year. But I do it with a twist. Let me share with you what I mean.

Your Christmas Gift is Here. . .

The Best Christmas Gift of All

There is something you can give yourself now that doesn’t come in box, a bag, or wrapped up with bow, that you’ll love more than anything else you get this Christmas

You may be excited today because you’re going to both giving and receiving gifts for those you love most, but did you know that there is a gift that you can give yourself that will last a lifetime and that will give you great joy for all the years of your life?

It was back in 1994, Christmas Day to be exact that I gave myself this gift. Back then I was not making much progress in my career. In fact, I had just recently left a full time job with a great salary and benefits to go out on my own.

I’m not at all depressed today..

September 2nd, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

I’m excited about everything I’m seeing going on out there in our world. Truly this has become a time for change, and it’s a great
time to be alive.

Yes, I know things look really bleak when you listen to the news. I know corruption is at an all-time high, and I know tempers are
running much higher than at any time in my memory.

So why am I excited? Read more…

A book worth reading

Esther and Jerry Hicks - The Vortex
A Personal Note from Robert:

You may have noticed that I get involved in very few book promotions. In fact, I typically ignore most request because there are just far too many books and I can’t find time to read them! I won’t promote anything I don’t first read and enjoy. Here is a new book that is powerful in its ability to help you find more success in your life.

There is a short video here that will give you a peek at what’s in store for you in this book. Honestly, I personally own every book written by Esther and Jerry and have loved them all! If you’ve yet to get any of their books, go ahead and start with this one.

The real secret of seminars is..

August 17th, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

There is a secret in the seminar business that most never speak about, and many others simply have no knowledge about.

The secret has to do with where the greatest value is in any seminar. As a seminar leader, I’d like to think that what you walk out of the room with had everything to do with me, but I’d be inaccuate.

The truth is that in any given seminar, Read more…

Are you feeling stress and want a way to feel better now?

July 15th, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

Why do many businesses fail when times get tough?

Why so many people feel more stress and get depressed more often in challenging times?

You may think that it’s because times are tough, but there’s another reason – and even more importantly, a better way to deal with it all so that you keep yourself empowered and strong.

Motivate and Inspire Your Prospects, Never Sell Them!

May 27th, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

Think about this for a moment. What if, instead of engaging in hard-selling, you could instead motivate your prospects to buy from you without any arm-twisting, exaggerating, or
manipulation?

Would you be interested in knowing how it’s done?

For many business owners, selling is the hardest part of being in business. Most people do everything they can to avoid it, yet it’s the most effective way to make more sales.

What if selling wasn’t so hard? Read more…
