Give Up or Keep Going; The Decision That Defines You

March 4th, 2010 Robert Imbriale No comments

It was 1995 and I was struggling to get my business off the  ground. I was excited, spinning my wheels, yet getting nowhere  fast. Money was coming in, but more of it was going out than was  coming in.

Before very long, I found myself questioning whether or not to  close my business and give up on my lifelong dreams.

When you arrive at a point like this, there are two choices you  can make. First, you can choose to throw in the towel and walk  away. Many people take this route and in later years begin to  regret their  decision.

The other option is to keep going and find new ways to get  through the rough times. While you may wonder if there’s a third  choice of doing nothing, that’s really not making a choice at all  and it’s almost the same as giving up because if you do nothing,  you’ll soon have nothing.

So there really is only one choice and that’s to keep going.

A better way to celebrate President’s Day

President’s Day… Another Way of Looking at it!

You’ll never see this day the same way again!

You might have guessed that I don’t see “President’s Day” as the rest of the country does. To me, the real heroes will always be the presidents of companies. Yes, even a 1-person operation is worth celebrating today.

Throughout time, it has been the business owner who has created the jobs, taken the risks, invented the technology, and generally helped to move society forward in so many areas. Read more…

Unemployment Numbers Are Not As Bad As You May Think

February 10th, 2010 Robert Imbriale No comments

-

Your Business SHOULD be GROWING Right Now!

Imagine turning on the news and hearing that unemployment in the US is 10%. Hearing that, and the necessary commentary that follows would certainly lead you to believe that things
are really, really bad right now.

You may even consider cutting back or even stopping your marketing efforts. Some people begin to think about shuttering their businesses and going to hide under a rock until things start to look better.

Yet, there are other people who see this “bad” news in a very different light.

When I think of some of the news that I’ve been hearing about lately, I know that what I hear is only a very tiny sliver of the whole picture. I know that there’s more that goes unreported each day than could ever be reported.

I also know that our media makes the most money by scaring its viewers so they have a tendency to exaggerate the news and create news about what may happen in the future. Rarely
do these things happen, but in the moment, it sells the news to large audiences, and nobody seems to complain.

What if you tried to look at things from a new perspective.

Grow your mailing list for FREE!

January 22nd, 2010 Robert Imbriale No comments

Want a BIGGER Mailing List?

But you’re not sure where to start?

I had a call with a new coaching client the other day who wanted, more than anything, to build a list that he could use to market his products. He had the right idea, but his ideas on how to go about building that list sounded like they came from an old time movie!

In fact, he was so lost when it came to building a list that had he even tried what he had in mind, he would have lost his shirt! A lot has changed on the web in recent years, and building a list today is NOTHING like it was just 12 months ago.

In fact, today, it’s easier, faster, and cheaper than at anytime in history, yet few people have figured that out yet! Over the past year, I’ve been showing my clients where the tools are on the web, how to quickly build a list of people who WANT to hear from you, and I’ve been showing them what to say and how often to say it so that they make more sales.

I’ve been really amazed at their results. I’ve been watching them add new clients, and increase their sales and build larger and larger lists and it’s been a complete thrill for me.

I’ve been doing these same things too, and my business is also growing and I’m picking up new clients and adding new sales regularly. But is what I’m doing and showing my clients to do even legal? And if it is, why doesn’t it cost anything?

It’s a lot like when I first discovered the power of e-mail. At that time, NOBODY was using e-mail to sell anything. But I knew it was a great tool and I began building a list and mailing to my list each and every week. This was back in 1995.

Over time, word got out and soon enough everybody jumped on the e-mail bandwagon and soon e-mail just wasn’t as effective as it once was. What I’ve discovered is every similar. It’s not popular at the moment, but it will be in just a few years. But for the small group of us who know about it today, we’re making the most of it!

In the last 6 weeks, I’ve added close to 1,000 people to my mailing list. These people are HIGHLY targeted prospects for my business, and I can now contact them daily if I wanted to, and it cost me exactly nothing to do. The annual return on these new prospects is easily going to be in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for my company. My marketing costs are zero.

If you’d like to know more, I would invite you to request a complimentary one-on-one coaching session with me using the form you’ll find on this web site.

If you’re in the information marketing business, you’re a coach, a speaker, or a consultant, I want to talk to you about this because it will change everything about your business!

Please note that I can only work with 3 more people at this point, so if you like what you’re hearing, run, don’t walk, to grab you complimentary coaching session now!

Remember, those who succeed never wait, they take action, lots of action, and they do it now!

Have it your way

Will 2010 be THE Year for You?

Or will it be just another year of the same old, same old?

When December 31st rolls around each year, we tend to get real excited about what the next year will bring. By about this time each year, we’re pretty much back to doing the same
things we’ve always done and we’re back to getting the same old results too.

This is a great time to take a moment to think about making a few small changes that can lead you to having a fabulous year instead of getting more of the same.

This past weekend, I attended a seminar in Los Angeles hosted by Terri Levine. I came away with 238 notes in just a 2-day event.

My point here is that you’ve got to look for places, people, and things that inspire you. I get inspired being around people who want to get more out of life. So I do attend and host seminars. I get inspired by reading books, listening to audio programs, and by watching motivational video presentations.

Life has a way of taking the wind out of our sail. It has a way to bring us down and often times all it takes is a phone call.

If you let it, life will rob you of your motivation, your energy, and your passion. These are the ingredients of success and in my world, I do everything I can to hang onto these things. What about you?

Are you fighting to stay on top of it all? Do you feel knocked down and dragged out at the end of the day? Are you wondering if things will ever get better?

You’re not alone, but being part of the crowd is not the best place to be. A better choice would be to find ways that will lead you to places the crowds will never go. You want to feel things the crowd will never feel. And you want to do things the crowd would never dream of doing.

When you do, you’ll begin to experience real freedom.

But most people will argue that they simply can’t even begin to imagine this because, hey did you hear what they said on the news tonight?

If you wait for all things to be lined up before you decide to take a step forward, you will miss out on the best parts of life before you finally figure out that you can have it all, you can have now, and you’ve already got what it takes to make it happen.

Which way do you want to play it?

The Secret to Generating Leads

January 6th, 2010 Robert Imbriale No comments

I get asked a lot about how you generate leads to build a mailing  list. Back in 1995, yes that was a loooong time ago, I was teaching people how to generate leads.

The Internet was a very different place back then, and few business owners really thought much of it. In fact, many believed it was just another trend or fad that would soon fade. I never thought that for one moment from the very first day I logged onto an online service in 1984 to this very day.

The basic premise of generating a lead has not changed. In order to get the contact information you want from a potential customer, they need to get something of value from you. That’s the BIG secret of lead generation.

Make them an offer of something that they view of being valuable and they will generally be happy to give you their contact
information.

Offer them a trip to Hawaii and you’ll build a list of tens of  thousands of people in just a few days.

Success Begins in the… SHOWER!

Celebrate the New Year in Style!

Welcome to 2010, the start of a fresh new year, and a new decade!

Every year at this time, I get tons of e-mail messages from people who are eager to tell me about their resolutions for the next year. While I am indeed impressed at what people plan on doing, what really does it for me is to see the RESULTS of what had been planned.

So as you look back over the past year, what did you accomplish? What goal did you set for yourself that you hit, and even exceeded? Or do you even remember the goals you set for yourself?

Like so many people out there, I too set goals for myself at this time of year. But I do it with a twist. Let me share with you what I mean.

Your Christmas Gift is Here. . .

December 24th, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

The Best Christmas Gift of All

There is something you can give yourself now that doesn’t come in box, a bag, or wrapped up with bow, that you’ll love more than anything else you get this Christmas

You may be excited today because you’re going to both giving and receiving gifts for those you love most, but did you know that there is a gift that you can give yourself that will last a lifetime and that will give you great joy for all the years of your life?

It was back in 1994, Christmas Day to be exact that I gave myself this gift. Back then I was not making much progress in my career. In fact, I had just recently left a full time job with a great salary and benefits to go out on my own.

Are you scared? No? How about after you read this…

October 30th, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

I’ve got some pet peeves about our line of business. Yup, I sure do and I think you’ll share some of my sentiments too once you hear what I’m about to share with you.

First, let me say that I totally believe that ANYBODY can create for themselves what they really set their sights on having. If it’s a successful web site, a fast car, a big house, the perfect
relationship, you name it, if you want it bad enough you can have  it.

Find out more about it all here:

So pet peeve number one for me is that so many in our business try to sell you on the idea that all you need is a new gizmo, a bigger web site, or a smarter marketing plan and you’ll get what you want. Really?

Social Networking Secrets You Should Know About

October 1st, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

I was having a conversation this week with a client, whom I really love working with, about social media and an interesting point came up in our coaching session.

She mentioned that she had heard a lot about what to do on these social networking sites like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and others, but not once was she taught what to say and how to say it to the people she was connecting with!

She had a point. And I’ve seen most people go about the connecting thing all wrong, and in fact, sometimes they mess it up so bad that I simply delete their requests!

First, you’ve got to understand that your connecting to another human being on the other side of all the technology. You’ve got to understand that these people have thoughts, feelings, and emotions just like you. Read more…

Motivate and Inspire Your Prospects, Never Sell Them!

May 27th, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

Think about this for a moment. What if, instead of engaging in hard-selling, you could instead motivate your prospects to buy from you without any arm-twisting, exaggerating, or
manipulation?

Would you be interested in knowing how it’s done?

For many business owners, selling is the hardest part of being in business. Most people do everything they can to avoid it, yet it’s the most effective way to make more sales.

What if selling wasn’t so hard? Read more…

What does it REALLY take to become a successful business owner?

May 20th, 2009 Robert Imbriale No comments

Each week, I send you a notice about a new episode of “The Motivational Marketing Show.” And, each week more and more people take the time to tune in and listen.

After they do, it is not uncommon for me to receive e-mail messages telling me just how much they enjoyed the show!

These shows are very different from what you might normally hear on the radio these days. They are much more informative about a topic that really wouldn’t ever get on traditional radio: marketing. Read more…
